WHAT INSPIRES ME?

When asked about the things that inspire me, I will most likely tell you some generic answer that you would hear anyone else say. Perhaps i'll mention a famous celebrity or quote a line from my favorite book or film. In reality, while some of these may ring true, this is not the main factor that gives me my true motivation. While books may stir my imagination or famous figures give me motivation to try new aspects in life, my main inspiration stems from anime and manga. This is something that I prefer to keep private to me, as growing up, I was constantly bullied by others for liking these sort of things. To them, it was embarrassing and sometimes even perverted as they don't understand what it truly is. You see, I grew up around anime. While some grew up watching sesame street, I grew up watching Cardcaptor Sakura. Some knew Spongebob, while I knew Sailor Moon. These shows, while not to be relied on, show insight towards one's culture. I adopted my moralistic values through watching anime. At the same time, it was also what caused my to develop this creative imagination I take pride in. In fact, most of the stories I have made are inspired from something anime based. Stories like Rewrite, Clannad, even Pokemon have caused me to fantasize about life in the universes. It made me more appreciative and more open minded about the different types of art there is to see.
